An interesting Article that has been puplished recently, to help us all understand the Basis of the Beliefs in Creation not Evelotution.
Just thought I would share with anyone who may interested in the answer to the title Question, as it may help you to at least understand the reasonings on the JW faith.
Who Made God?
Picture a father talking with his seven-year-old son. He says, “Long, long ago, God made the earth and everything in it, and he made the sun, the moon, and the stars.” The boy thinks about this for a few moments and then asks, “Daddy, who made God?”
“Nobody made God,” the father replies. “He has always existed.” That simple statement satisfies the child for now. As he grows older, however, the question continues to intrigue him. He finds it hard to comprehend how anyone could be without a beginning. Why, even the universe had a beginning. ‘Where did God come from?’ he wonders.
How does the Bible answer? Essentially, in much the same way as did the father in our example. Moses wrote: “O Jehovah, . . . before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the productive land, from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.” (Psalm 90:1, 2) Likewise, the prophet Isaiah exclaimed: “Do you not know? Have you not heard? Jehovah, the Creator of the ends of the earth, is a God for all eternity”! (Isaiah 40:28) Similarly, the letter of Jude refers to God as existing “for all past eternity.”—Jude 25.
Those scriptures show us that God is “the King of eternity,” as the apostle Paul describes him. (1 Timothy 1:17) This means that God has always existed, no matter how far back in time we cast our gaze. And he will always exist in the future. (Revelation 1:8) Thus, his eternal existence is a fundamental attribute of the Almighty.
Why do we find this idea difficult to grasp? Because our limited life span gives us a completely different concept of time from that of Jehovah. Because God is eternal, to him a thousand years are like a day. (2 Peter 3:8) To illustrate: Could a grasshopper, which lives as an adult for only about 50 days, fathom our life span of 70 or 80 years? Hardly! Yet, the Bible explains that we are like grasshoppers in comparison with our Grand Creator. Even our ability to reason is dwarfed by his. (Isaiah 40:22; 55:8, 9) So it is not surprising that there are aspects of Jehovah’s nature that escape full human understanding.
Although the concept of an eternal God may be hard to grasp, we can see that it makes sense. If someone else had created God, that person would be the Creator. Yet, as the Bible explains, Jehovah is the one who “created all things.” (Revelation 4:11) Furthermore, we know that the universe at one time did not exist. (Genesis 1:1, 2) Where did it come from? Its Creator had to exist first. He also existed before there were any other intelligent beings, such as his only-begotten Son and the angels. (Job 38:4, 7; Colossians 1:15) Clearly, then, he existed alone first. He could not have been created; nothing was in existence that could have created him.
Our own existence and that of the entire universe testifies to the existence of an eternal God. The One who put our vast universe in motion, the One who established the laws to control it, must have always existed. Only he could have breathed life into everything else.—Job 33:4.

Bankhaunter wrote "but that's what you get for listening to a fool, only a fool would say that" aaaawwwww. It is such a shame you all do feel that way. If everyone did see the truth ( truth being how we JW's like to describe our beliefs/faith in general) as it is meant then it certainly wouldn't be burdensome at all
Anyone who says don't bother about tomorrow only worry about today, is a fool for not realising a person has to think about the future.
To give that as advice is little short of dangerous, where is food going to come from if nobody plants crops or keeps animals for future use?
You say the truth but what do you actually mean by that, what is this 'truth' and how do you know it's true?
What is your evidence?

“Any fool can know. The point is to understand.” Albert Einstein
Following on from that and looking at the request for "evidence", believers don't need evidence, they "know".
As to "....you have the evidence before you.....", what is offered isn't evidence of anything except that it's evidence of writing created by Man. On that point, Man has only been writing things down for a few thousand years so where did the words and sayings come from? From the beginning of god stories, things were passed on by word of mouth so what came to be written down initially bore little resemblance to what was said earlier. The Bible is a collection of things which have, over time been revised, edited with many things added and others discarded. Who decided what to add or discard? MAN!
On the point of things handed down by word of mouth, I'd challenge anyone to state that a story could be related fautlessly to 50 people by "passing it on". After 50 people had heard and related the story one by one It would be most interesting to compare the 50th story to the original and see what the differences were.
I think they'd fall in to the same bracket as this old chestnut from WW1 (with thanks to Gary).
"Send reinforcements, we're going to advance, pass it on...."
By the time it was passed back down the line to HQ, the message was "Send three and fourpence, we're going to a dance."
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

It is equally as dangerous for you to try to convince people that they should not be looking to the right path to God and to a prosperous future, you are in effect causing them to loose their everlasting lives....
No I just think that people should base their beliefs on reality and not fairy tales and old myths of an imaginary being. They should not have their lives controlled by superstition but should be free to fully develop their own consciousness not just think what someone tells them to think and do what someone else tells them to do.
Plus a person cannot lose what doesn't exist, there is no everlasting life which is perhaps a good thing because frankly I can't imagine anything more horrifying than the thought of a pointless existence for eternity.
You keep asking all the same questions and you recieve all the same answers time and again, you have the evidence before you but you fail to see and accept it,
You have never offered any evidence only assertions with nothing to back them up, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence
you cannot prove yourself that what is stated in the bible is NOT true.
I don't have to because I'm not making the claim that it is, however having said that there is very little of that which is written has any other than the Bible to back it up and so much of it is completely wrong, I've pointed out the flaws in the creation story, a story which is little more than a copy of earlier stories just as the story of the Flood is a copy of far earlier stories.
If the writing was guided by a divine hand how come they got so much wrong, surely they would have known for example that the earth was not a flat circle, the cosmos was not like a tent over the top.
What about the fact there is no evidence for the Israelites being in Egypt, Noah's Ark is an impossibilty and the story of the Nativity is simply made up to fit prophecy plus no historical evidence for Jesus.
And one final thought, if your god exists and the Bible stories about him are true, why does he deserve worship, he must be the nastiest most vicious, vengeful, jealous bullying character that ever existed, to be condemned not worshiped.

Lets face it, Christianity is based on the beliefe that a god created a man and a woman. Now its said in the bible that this couple had two sons Cain and Able, (i do believe there was a third son whose name i have forgotten), Well ( and i guess you know where this is heading), just exactlly can we now have a planets sized population of well over 6 Billion people from ONE MOTHER, ONE FATHER, and TWO/THREE SON's...............................please dont tell me they ...............no dont go there.

There are those who try to prove the earth is only about 6,000 years old by using population growth, stating that the population doubles every 160 years.
The problem is that the 160 years was calculated by assuming the earth was only 6,000 years old to begin with, plus it ignores the fact that the earth population didn't increase to any degree for a very long time.
If the creationist ideas of the way the population increased is examined it is soon seen to be a nonsense, the number of people in the world at the time of the Exodus would only have been approximately 150 and yet those creationists still stick rigidly to that nonsense.
The last leaflet I have seen from the JWs used Michael Behe's idea that irreducible complexity proves 'inteligent design' but several years ago that same man was shot down in flames in the Kitzmiller v Dover trial and his ideas have been disproved, however he is still presented as an expert to back up their dogma.
"In fact, on cross-examination, Professor Behe was questioned concerning his 1996 claim that science would never find an evolutionary explanation for the immune system. He was presented with fifty-eight peer-reviewed publications, nine books, and several immunology textbook chapters about the evolution of the immune system; however, he simply insisted that this was still not sufficient evidence of evolution, and that it was not "good enough.

Religious organizations have no compunction in ignoring overwhelming evidence disproving their ideas and continuing to teach things which they must know are untrue, it cannot be said they are doing any other than telling lies.
To state something as a fact when there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary, is not telling the truth.

People sit outside where i work every day all day,,, with their little board of pamphlets about God or whatever faith they are. Maybe born again Christians. No one wants to talk to them, they accost people in the street and thrust the word of god down their throats practically. One came up to me on my way to work one morning waving about a leaflet with her little friend beside her. One Daggerish look from me and she quickly veered away when i said NO THANK YOU!!!! in a severe tone. If we want to believe in something let us do it our way. If we dont want too then leave us alone!.

Print some leaflets out yourself explaining the virtues of following Satan, how much better the parties are and how friendly the believers are when you all sleep together.

These people believe in their own God...
A British doctor fighting the devastating Ebola outbreak in west Africa has told how belief in witchcraft is hampering the fight to stop the spread of the deadly disease.
Benjamin Black, 32, a volunteer with the charity Médecins Sans Frontières in Sierra Leone, said that some of those in infected areas were not seeking medical treatment as they thought the disease was the work of sorcerers. Belief in witchcraft and traditional medicine is still prevalent in parts of west Africa, particularly the remote rural areas of Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia where the outbreak has been concentrated.
In an interview with The Telegraph, Dr Black, who completed a four-day stint earlier this week at an Ebola treatment clinic in Kailahun, near Sierra Leone’s northern border with Guinea, said: “There is a section of population here who simply don’t believe Ebola is real, they think it is witchcraft and so they don’t come to the treatment centres.
“Sometimes, even those who turn up at clinics with symptoms of the disease will be resistant to the idea that they have it. They will say 'yes, people in my family have died already, but this is witchcraft rather than Ebola’.” 700 dead so far..
