Just what I was thinking - he might be happy for the next year!
He forgot to give his Mum a hug during his celebratory climb though - his Mum, of all people, who has spurred him on and supported him and transported him to and fro for all these years.
I hope he makes it up to her!
Pleased he won though 😄

I heard him say the "B" word, BRITAIN.
He's British!
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

Looks like he is British at last. http://andymurrayometer.com/
(Despite Alex Salmond's pathetic attempts to muscle in on the proceedings.)

He actually said that he knew how much the crowd wanted to see a BRITISH Wimbledon winner!
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.

Yep - last time I looked, Scotland is in Britain.
Well done Andy.
I remember reading Fred Perry's autobiography - he moved to Canada because the british tennis players didn't like him - he was from the lower classes!!
And he beat the lot of 'em!!

Scottish/British is a standing joke on here Briar
Think Alex Salmond scored a massive own goal yesterday, his stupid antics, came in for ridicule from his opponents and most People on social media.
anyway He was in Royal Box - It should have been a Lion Rampant
In 30yrs time will we be wearing Andy Murray Polo shirts ?
Biggest shock of the Day Posh Becks smiled 😮

A brilliant win for Andy. He deserved it this time. He's grown up such a lot in the last year, less antics etc and much more concentrated probably due to Lendl's coaching skills.
I watched the documentary about him. I knew he came from Dunblane but didn't know he was in the school on that awful day, a very moving account by him and his mother.
Apparently Alex Salmond "found" the flag in his wife's handbag - what was he doing looking in her bag?!
I think "posh" should have received at least a medal for her smile!

we all have a sad story in our life, he was not the only child at school that day, and regrettably some did not go back home, I am so up to the back teeth of hearing sob story's for people to get the aw factor. Murray won English Scottish or Brittish, he won and won well.
