There's me thinking I lived in a nice quiet Village

..........then last night, about 10pm, the sound of a Helicopter shook the House. Round and round it went, over the House, like something from " Apocalypse Now " ,with me standing in the drive; lit up by all our Colditz security lights, glaring up at it.  A police Car sped down the road, towards the end, that then turns into a Farm track.  20 minutes later.......silence.....until this morning, when the village jungle drums beat out the message.  Turns out some guy, in the next road, was raided; because he had a cannabis factory / farm going in his garden shed.  He did a runner and half the Kent constabulary were chasing him..........I had no idea that sort of farming went on around here........I wonder if he got an EU subsidy.Smiley LOL

They are everywhere.

Apparently abut half a million growers in the UK which is equivalent to roughly one on every street.

All that we are is what we have thought.

Re: There's me thinking I lived in a nice quiet Village

There was once a surfeit of magic mushrooms in Ambridge. The police were called, the FBI, and even MI5. It took Alan Titchmarsh to verify that they were growing wild, and it wasn't the business venture of some Drug Baron.

I'm 30 miles from Murkyside. Just because I live on a hill and can see Murkyside doesn't make me a Murkysider!

I remember a politician once saying he believed in the Mushroom method of government, what's that asked the naive questioner.  He said " Keep them in the dark and **** on them twice a Week ".
