The RT of old?

The RT has changed considerably over time and so have the Community Managers along with their take on proceedings.

The first Community Manager I can remember was Bev. Now she was nice and really sensible in dealing with the community.

Along came Henry. "Hullo" was his greeting but he was young and not so good on man-management. He later wrote a book about ebaying! Times have changed since then?

James seemed to rule with a rod of Iron and also wasn't too hot in the man-management/RT poster department.

Alan was a welcome change but could also get the wrong end of the stick.

There were some short-lived Community Managers but I've forgoten their names, anyone remember them?

Going back again.... the posters on here have changed, lots have just left, others just reappear now and again and some nice ones have tragically passed on slight_frown

The really nasty ones seem to have moved on to pastures new and/or have developed more subtle ways to annoy people?

Some of the old tricks seem to have abated considerably but the multiple ID characters are a bit harder to track down these days? Old hands re-appear in a variety of guises but show their "experience" in the way they post?

Lots of older hands have adopted the "don't bite" rule leaving their critics with nothing to attack?

What's your recollections of the RT over time?

Re: The RT of old?

I don't see the RT has changed over time, yes there has been mods and management with differences and many ids whether multiple and regular or simply new over the years, but RT is pretty much the same now as it has always been with just a few Id's that have been posting much the same for years. you for one CD. No offence meant just my observation, same old same old. Interesting, boring, funny, serious, argumentative, arrogant, insulting, helpful, refrishing !! All elements of the RT.

Is this yet another ID for Linda? Anyway, you don't have to keep on saying how wonderful I am or I might get ideas above my station. innocent

Re: The RT of old?

There is a long time poster on these boards called  *bustysinclair*.  Seems you have been confused with her.  We just wondered if she had changed her ID a bit.

Re: The RT of old?

The thing is, that person has at least 25 IDs (want a list?) and a few have asterisks and/or "sinclaire" (with an "e") in the spelling. Surely it would be an amazing coincidence to have the asterisks, the same name and the "e"?

Anyway isn't the use of multiple IDs a bit deceitful and underhand?
