They've started early enough? We'll be sick of them by the time Christmas comes?
Anyway, what do you think of seeing tables absolutely covered in food like in the M & S and Sainsburys adverts? How much would be eaten from spreads like that? Have you ever been to (or had your own) spreads like that? Doesn't the absolute mountain of food actually put you off? OK, OK, I know it's questions, questions but when I was present at a spread like that my first thought was that it'd never all get eaten and that it was a way of showing off really. A bit of this, a bit of that (and a bit of the other 😀) is nice but overloading people is too over the top?

No family would be able to eat all that.
I've found at any do I've been at, whether weddings, parties or even funerals there's an awful lot of food left over and usually wasted.

Morrisons have got "Farmer Christmas" and their table is covered in food too.
There's so few posters here now that the comments are almost non-existent but does anyone on here have spreads like those in the adverts?

Funny how that advert manages to promote Xmas and at least one of the Seven Deadly Sins at the same time.
I'm going to take a screen shot of that table, frame it, and place it on my table at Xmas just to remind me what I'm (not) missing. Could brew up a dish of bisto to go with it, just for aromatic realism.

Thankfully, i haven`t seen a single christmas advert this year, because i got so fed up to the back teeth of seeing adverts every 10 minutes during a programme, i cancelled my t.v license months ago and now only watch streamed stuff, Amazon prime with paramount+ and it`s the best t.v i`ve watched in years 🙂
i even gave that channel Pluto t.v a try once and they are worse than terrestrial t.v, every six minutes, almost without fail, they have a 2 minute ad break, so got rid of that as well.

One of these lavish food ads has the song "The final countdown" playing. Does that class as subliminal advertising - making you think Christmas shopping time is running out?

The MacDonalds advert has a cover version of this super song playing:-
