TENERIFE....advice re days out and things to do

Hi there.

My son and I are flying out to Tenerife in a couple of weeks, on a limited budget.

Does anyone out there have any ideas of what we could do/where we could go?

We are staying in Playa de las Americas.

Any help gratefully received.

I am sure there are plenty of trips to take but I have very little money so any help would be very much appreciated.
