If the items were not at all similar then it is easier to suss out . However if the items ARE very similar then it could be that a collector is bidding on their items.
You need to assess the situation and make up your own mind ....it is not always obvious...
From my own point of view, if I ever get any uncomfortable, niggley feeling about anything on eBay ( that I want to buy )...........I let it go. Sometimes, you can't quite put your finger on why your not 100% happy about something; but one thing is for sure, another will come along.............everything comes to He who waits. An adaptation of an old saying, Buy in haste.........repent at your leisure.
The only Ebay dispute I've ever opened was where I ignored my gut feeling.
