However who would want to pay this kind of money for a piece of metal with Best Mum written on it !! Your mum has expensive taste if I may add
Why not create something for your Mum or else unless you can afford to buy it ??!!

I wonder what the official offer was/is? I knew somebody who was vain enough to pay a king's ransom for personalised number plates. Here's a much cheaper option which has the same effecy - just change your name by deed poll next time you buy a car!
I can think of nothing more naff than buying personalised number plates. Many years ago Mercedes-Benz offered Max Bygraves £1,000,000.00 for his personalised number plate M B 1. He laughed in their face and put the phone down on them, telling them not to insult him. Nice to be able to laugh off an offer of £1,000,000.00, isn't it?

Several years ago, I remember driving round the North Circular and seeing a Lamborghini with a numberplate of EGO 1, closely followed by a Ferrai EGO 2 - and I thought - yep, that's about right.
Mind you a doctor friend of mine tried to get VOM IT - don't think he managed it.

Along Commercial Road in the East End (London) I saw a gold painted Rolls Royce with two wheels on the pavement as though he owned the place outside a sweatshop bearing the letters MAY 1R - Golda Mayir? He really looked the part, with thick black greasy hair and a 60" gut. One can only imagine what he did to earn that type of money - yuk!
The other thing I saw was a Lancia in Shepherd's Hill, Highgate, North London bearing the registration KKK 666. It was owned by a very wealthy Caucasian gentleman, obvious taking the **Bleep**

I shall be putting a bouquet of flowers where my mums ashes are scattered as I have done since she past over.
