That's the point though, he wants to die.

That's why he's asked for the tribunal so that he can go back to a normal prison where they can't force feed him, which they've been doing since 1999...

He hasn't got a cat in hells chance of that ever happening.

This man relinquished all his "human rights" and preferences when he tortured and murdered five children so keep him where he is, continue to force feed him and let him take his last breath with a tube up his nose!

Ignoring the crimes for now, I think he's already destroyed any case he might have had by saying he wants to stop being fed. That's not sane?

That's debatable. The chap last year with motor neuron disease decided not to eat and consequently died. I think he was sane.

Apparently he spends all his time watching television and writing.  If he is so desperate to end his life I am sure he could find another use for his pen or pencil.  Surely they are not watching him every second of the day! ?:|

You could say he was under a life sentence of motor neuron disease...

Anyway the point is Brady wants to die.

A Psychiatric hospital isn't going to allow him to do that because of their hippocratic oath.

A tribunal is his only way of trying to get back to a normal prison where the psychiatric hospital has no jurisdiction to prevent him from going on a hunger strike. 

He has to be allowed to go through the process of a tribunal but he will never be released from the hospital.

I agree barbara. As I said in #4 he should stay where he is till he dies. I know he wants to die but we don't need to help him get what he wants. Maybe if he had told where Kieth Bennets body is so that his poor mother could lay him to rest then perhaps a deal could have been done. But he let that poor woman go to her grave never knowing or having any sort of closure. Cruel to the bitter end. Thats the way Brady chose, so thats what he should get. His choice - so he can't complain. Do unto others.....

But knowing how our c**p justice system works They'll probably send him to a 5 star hotel with a new name and round the clock protection.

They should just let him out. THEN justice would be done.

as far as Im concerned life is life and by being under that sentence you should lose your "right to appeal " or whatever it is  leave him where he is and stop wasting money letting him have another chance of the spot light !

And basically that's it in a nutshell. He's an attention seeker. Always was and always will be. The last time he sought centre stage was (twice) in the 80s when he went on two unsuccessful trips to the Moors, ostensibly to show the authorities where the body of Keith Bennett was buried. He had not the slightest intentions of doing so, but he got his turn in the media spotlight. Success !

Neither is he so deranged, that he doesn't know full well the authorities will never grant his wishes. The downside is that the taxpayer has to pay for his keep, although saying that we've done so since his incarceration, so I suppose another few years until he croaks is neither here nor there.

He's a psychopath. Very clever (in a planning/plotting way), very dangerous, not to be trusted an inch, given half a chance and he'd attack someone even at his age.
