Mobile phone help needed

Hi Guys,

I'm a bit of a dimwit where these mobile phones are concerned. I mean, I've only just got out of keeping one in the car with the idea of keeping it in the car in case we are iinvolved in an accident and need some kind of physical help in getting out of there. OK, so I lust bought a phone for general (having it about on me) kind of thing and it was only when I was showing it to my wife when I saw that it had 2 SIM cards available. What the smeg does that mean? Further reading shows that both SIM  cards are free from any service provider (except 3) but both can be used to separate business and friends. But how do they actually work?

I'd be grateful for any help from folk who actually have one of these gizmos

Many thanks,

Steve.

I'm still using an LG Chocolate with buttons. It's about five or six years old I think. Can't be doing with these new fangled swipey contraptions. I'm sure someone will be along soon to explain your predicament Steve, but as they say on the BBC radio 4 programme, 'I'm sorry I haven't a clue'.

I'm no Phone Geek, but the Sims have whatever Tariff  ( deal ) you are on; programmed on them. If you are "Pay as you go" then, for example, 25p for the first minute and 5p every minute thereafter. If you are on contract ( pay so much each month ) then so many free texts or calls and so much per minute thereafter, if you use up your allowance. My Daughter tells me mine went out with the Ark, but I tell Her I'm not the Idiot whose on facebook and Whatsapp etc. etc. that normally finishes the conversation.

MMMM ..... I've just bought 8 x O2 cards for 99p (the other one was on the same provider... I'll try them all out on PAYG  and see how I get on.

Cheers all,
