I was listening to Bright Eyes and was reminded of my own first impressions of the line "There's a fog along the horizon". When the song was a hit, I first thought the line was "There's a foggle on the horizon"
I think the most famous misheard lyric as the Jimi Hendrix line " 'Scuse me while I kiss this guy" instead of " 'Scuse me while I kiss the sky".
Now I know it's just too easy to grab some misheard lyrics from the several misheard lyrics sites but what're your personal misheard lyrics?
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

Spare him his life from these pork sausages, from Bohemian Rhapsody.

I always thought the opening line to Jumping Jack Flash was.........I was born in a force five hurricane, instead of crossfire.
I was singing along to the wrong lyrics for more than 30 years.

Fleetwood Mac, Everywhere. I used to think the line "I want to be with you everywhere" sounded like "I wanna be with you at your wedding"..... Have a listen and see what you think?:-

From Starship’s 'We Built This City'.
'We built this city on sausage rolls' instead of 'We built this city on rock 'n' roll'.
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

The song was recorded with the whole studio, under the influence of certain substances
when The Tape was done the Sound engineer - thinking this was a 'Indian mystical song' wrote what He heard (from the slurring Doug Ingle) as the title
Inna a gadda Da Vida - which should have been In the Garden of Eden - as Time went this was what the Band sung

A song which still sounds the way I always thought it sounded was Free, All right now.
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

I think you'll find that's parking rate actually.

Yeah, all the lyrics sites now have "rate" but many had "rent" some time back. Opinion has been divided on that word since day one?
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.
