Hi Ti Ti Ti ... (busy on the RT nowadays)
Yes, there is a video on the link today, called: ''Moment of truth'' (you or someone might fetch it up. I cant just yet)
You are innocent till proved guilty of course. But it is looking very bad for them me thinks.
Looks, body language, etc

Why are our embassy staff wasting our time and money on these losers?
13-08-2013 2:46 PM
I should think because they like any of us have the ''rights'' to. If they are found guilty that's when the real waste comes in because it's going to cost millions to keep alive those that don't give a toss about the suffering and deaths of others. And that is the very reason some countries have the death penalty.
If they get the 25 years and survive it? They are very, very harsh prisons (ought to be the same here in this SOFT country) they will surly be back here to be kept by us probably for the rest of their lives. Very, very expensive! and as a detterent to others that don't give a toss who they kill, I think they deserve the death penalty.
They had and have a choice!

Think they got lost going to Ibiza which is where their families thought they were going on holiday.

They got lost when they agreed to smuggle in those drugs.
They got lost when they said a gun was held to their heads.
These gangsters were gentlemen too then? As they did not even touch them OTHERwise
As a last resort we must remember to say that a gun was held to our head ... JOB DONE!!!
Then after that incident they would have NO oppertunity to escape or say anything, or even leave a note in their cases, or at the airport toilet, (scribble a note on the toilet door) or anywhwere, a whisper in someone's ear even? No! infact nothing?
For some as most know they and many others are dealing out death here.
These gangsters

This is the JOKE of the day..... Piece of cake: British teens seen laughing and eating donuts in jail . . . just days after being arrested with £1.5million of cocaine they now claim 'gangsters forced them to smuggle on pain of death'

Yes they say it was smuggle it or die. What about those that die if they do? Hardly carve her name with pride! stuff.
Their only thoughts were themselves IMO. I don't believe their parents were under threat either. Otherwise at that first interview they would not only have said they put a gun to their heads, surly they would have said it (at that time) they have threatened to kill our parents too. This statement came sometime after.!!!
Like I suggested in my #9 there were so many possibility's to expose what was happening, and for the police to do their stuff. If it was as they claim?
And for them to have been through such horiffic trauma - they do look in sparkling health and and quite happy.
No, I don't believe them. And as I said IMO it was a last resort to say they stuck a gun to their heads! Why not a razor to the throat?
They wont be laughing shortly...Not at that prison.

Laughing and eating donuts?
Nice headline....................
When you watch the video you see why she is smiling a bit, and to me it seems more because of the akward handshake when someone want to shake her hand while she is holding a donut in it.

Hmmmmmmmm An akward donut smile!

Hi Harry
came on to make same remark
Daily Wail, no shame
So where does this Ms McCollum come from, Tyrone ? Belfast (that's what we are told in Scotland) both Northern Ireland?
And the Irish Consulate turns up to see her ?

I read a book a while ago (forget the name now) about Thailand and drugs, the ammount of police coruption was unbelievable, drugs were quite overtly planted on foreigners, when taken to the police station a go-between appeared and more or less told those held if they came up with a large ammount of wonga, they would be released,if not they would be held for months before any sort of trial date was set,not saying Peru is similar to Thailand, but as soon as people read the headlines Brits arrested for drug smuggling, automatically most people assume they are guilty, unless you don't read the mail of course
15-08-2013 2:24 PM
Yes it ends with the last 8 words: 'Unless you don't read the mail of course' Get the message T.I.
The mail, or the mail ''comments'' they have a choice!
Those that read the mail or the hundreds and occasionally thousands of comments on the mail or other papers comments are not neccesarily judging the likes of these two by any of them. They are reading them so they might learn an informed opinion from those many, many comments (not many here lately). And TROLLS can do virtually no damage on there.
And some foreigners hate the mail ... and democracy ... yes of course they do.
15-08-2013 6:23 PM
Merehazle,I don't notice any Trolls doing any damage on here,I think you'll find the most damage done is by one or two "regulars" who report threads or posters that they disagree with,I think you have also had to endure the button pushers,I should make a suggestion to the moderators that next to the kudos button thy should also install a "malicious reporter" button, which identifies them and requires them to give their reasons,You would find the ammount of posts removed would drop to zero,as these type of people are essentialy cowards, the only pleasure they have left in life is pushig the report button before they crawl up to bed with their horlicks,Maybe they should start their own group "Ebay curtain twitchers" or perhaps they already have one

Yes, their story might be true. But those silly drug girls were their own worst enemies
What should we feel about the two British girls banged up in a Peruvian jail accused of drug smuggling, complaining that the showers are cold and there are no blankets on the bed, boo hoo?
My view? Quiet despair, number one. Deep alarm about their apparent lack of understanding as to the seriousness of their situation, number two. Head shaking incredulity at their folly and idiocy, number three.
I mean, what do they think? That they are starring in a Bridget Jones film and handsome Mark Darcy is going to swoop in and save them?
