LOL Lynda, that shut him up!
My mother would. She needs an operation to have the damp cloth removed from her hand.
My mum would hover over you if you were eating a sandwich or something on the sofa. As soon as you put the last piece of food in your mouth, she'd whip the plate out of your hand and it would be washed, dried and back in the cupboard before you'd even finished chewing LOL.
Then she'd hoover round your feet in case you'd dropped any crumbs. I'm glad to say, I'm not even close to being that bad.

If it needs ironed, I don't buy it.
I used to like Quentin Crisp's philosophy...the dust doesn't get any worse after 4 years
When I moved in here to the main house, it was like a cross between Steptoe and Son and Miss Haversham's.
It's still Steptoe and Son
It is a fact not often realised, that with the possible exception of heavy cottons, not ironing modern materials means they will crease less.
All they will need is pulling to shape and carefully hanging to dry

Well blow me down! All these years I thought it was just my OH who did as little housework as possible, but listening to you lot it sounds like it's a female default setting.
Makes me wonder why we bother getting married.

You men get married for the same reason as us women ...............................
so we have someone to nag about....
By the way boys...are you all up to speed with your DIY chores around the house?

I knew there had to be a logical reason for it
And talking of diy, I really must get round to redecorating our bathroom and cloakroom. As 'er indoors keeps reminding me, it's approaching the fourth anniversary of when I bought the paint.

I have to confess...when I Hoover the carpets, I reverse out of the room, so that I can see the lovely 'tramlines' the Hoover makes as it cleans the carpets. It's one of life's little pleasures! And then 'him indoors' comes and walks on it.😡

" listening to you lot it sounds like it's a female default setting. "

Tell me about it, I descaled and cleaned the toilet a couple of days ago and she didn't even say thank you.
Ungrateful mare

I cleaned the bathroom yesterday, cleaned and tidied our study room, washed the windows, cleaned our bedroom and washed the windows there as well. Did some washing.
Been sorting out two lofts for the past 14 days, a major job!
No one has said thank you.
So what is your problem? Welcome to our world.
