He ordered us to preach to the people and to give a thorough witness.—Acts 10:42.All of us are subject to “the law of the Christ.” (Gal. 6:2) That law includes all that Jesus taught. Foremost among Jesus’ teachings is that his followers should display love. (John 13:35; Jas. 2:8) And one of the primary ways we show love for God, for Christ, and for our neighbor is by preaching the good news of the Kingdom. (John 15:10; Acts 1:8) Jesus commanded only a relatively small number of his followers—those to whom he appeared after his resurrection—to preach. (Acts 10:40-42; 1 Cor. 15:6) But all his faithful first-century disciples recognized that the command applied to them, even if they had not personally heard Jesus speak. (Acts 8:4; 1 Pet. 1:8) Likewise today, Jesus has not personally spoken to any of the eight million active Kingdom preachers. But all recognize their obligation to exercise faith in Christ and to express that faith by means of the witnessing work.—Jas. 2:18. w15 3/15 4:14, 15

You really need to take the word 'hate' out of your vocabulary. I see you've used it before quoting Jehovah & the JWs ! Christianity, in theory anyway, teaches love, and Jesus, first and foremost, extended a loving hand to the 'bad' !
I don't think so lightblueberet, we should hate what Jehovah hates and that is anything that goes against his righteous principals.
We are taught not to hate people and Jehovah principals, so when I have stated hate what is bad it is hating something like the act of murder, wars, fornication, homosexuality etc, Not the people, we are not even to hate those that committ these serious sins, just the sins themselves.
So I am able to use the word hate in a certain context. Hope that makes sense lol I know what I mean xxxx

Yes, CeeDee, the sword symbolises a division.
Mathew10:34
Followed by 35 & 36
35 For I came to cause division, with a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 Indeed, a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.
A division between family members was something that Jehovah told us via the scriptures that would happen, one member choosing to follow Jehovah would have family members disowning them - causing a "division"
In other words (from scripture too)
"Pick up your torture stake and follow me" Jesus was telling his followers that they would suffer on account of his name.
That is exactly what happens in these days when people choose to become Jehovah's Witnesses, the become objects of hatred purely because people don't like the truth.

And right there, in black & white, is the real problem with religion.
You have chosen to read it one way but millions of others have chosen to read it another way entirely.
Religion is about division, I 100% agree with that. It is far easier to conquer and dominate a divided people.

http://www.silentlambs.org/RoyalCommissionInvestigates.htm Testimony started Sunday night and featured riveting testimony from authority figures within the JW community. They admitted to not reporting over 1,000 child molesters to proper authorities and hiding them (pedophiles) within their congregations. This is a horrific number considering there are only 68,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses in Australia.

"...why is this thread full of hate..."
Exactement ! It's hate this, and hate that, and love is nowhere to be seen ! All this is driving me to Buddhism...there's never been wars or hatred because of them...has there ?

Matthew 10:34 to 37 :-
Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn 'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. A man's enemies will be the members of his own household. Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Luke, 24:26
If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters--yes, even his own life--he cannot be my disciple.

Let the one who thinks he is standing beware that he does not fall.
1 Cor. 10:12.Consider King David of ancient Israel. As a young person, he was victorious over the Philistine giant Goliath. David became a soldier, a king, a protector, and a decision-maker for a nation. But when David relied on himself, his heart deceived him and he committed a serious sin with Bath-sheba, even arranging to have her husband, Uriah, killed. When disciplined, David humbly admitted his error and reestablished his relationship with Jehovah. (Ps. 51:4, 6, 10, 11) So let us heed the advice found in our text for today and not become overconfident. Since we are unable to ‘direct our step,’ eventually we will listen either to the voice of Jehovah or to the voice of his Adversary. (Jer. 10:23) May we pray constantly, follow the leadings of the holy spirit, and always listen closely to Jehovah’s voice.—Isa. 30:21. w14 8/15 4:17, 18

There you go you see cee-dee, it makes all the difference........cos when Luke wrote 14:26; he was having a bad day, he was going through one of his confused periods. But, after a few words with Big G ( who put him straight ) he was his good old self again. Anyway, start cherry picking these quotes will you; we don't want just any old quotes on here.........thank you very much.
