30 vehicles involved in a series of crashes in the fog on a two mile stretch of the A40 this morning, reports say the road wasn't gritted.

Brrr, so cold my side. I went to a local shop and nearly got frostbite. Freeezing for sure. At least the early frost has gone, now some sunshine appearing in the sky.
Terrible isn't it Jd about all those crashes.

Frost has cleared here but the fog is getting worse. It was very bad on the M6 coming home last night, most of the traffic was doing about 40mph max but there were still some lane weaving like maniacs. The fog was so thick you could barely read the signs, I completely missed the junction for the M5 and ended up on the wrong side of Birmingham, took an age to get home. A straightforward journey I've done dozens of times before, unbelievable. 
Hi Jd. So right about many maniacs on the roads. They just don't give a care, then as you mentioned crashes do happen. Hopefully of course no one was badly injured. I expect then with this happening the gritters will finally come out to as many roads as can be. But for sure everyone has to take care, and drive as slow as permissible.
