Whenever I tried ta access the external drive, it shut off . . . (fur interest, it kept posting a message saying "LOL Lefty! I bet yer foaming at the gob, pal!"

I pick a piccie and highlight the HTML code
I copy the code to the site you mentioned and hey presto, it appeared in the bottom screen.

When it is in the bottom screen, left click mouse & drag your curser over it to highlight it. When it is greyed/blued out you drag image into reply box on this forum.
The way I do it: Open Square free Editor in a new window...open reply reply box in forum which should now be in the task bar. Go back to the window 'squarefree' Drag the highlighted image {bottom pane] to the task bar 'reply box'
