Hi Dixie, hubby has all of Bowies cd's, not the 'compilation' ones & a few vinyls too.
He prefers his older stuff to the new though.

I got hooked with "Ashes To Ashes", the saw him on TV with "Crystal Japan" + "Moon of Alabama" and loved his 80ies stuff. But also a lot of his early music, and then most of what came later.. well, he is always a step ahead...trendsetter for many. "The Hunger" - him + Catherine Deneuve is also a fab film.

Well the songs Crystal Japan & Moon of Alabama are new to hubby... I just asked him, he's never heard of them. Were they singles? He only bought albums.
And there's me thinking he knew all! 😄

Both performed 1978 live on German Television the first an instrumental, released on singles and compilations like "Bowie Rare" Crystal Japan
This one of the best versions of the song from the Kurt Weil/Bert Brecht opera "The Rise and Fall of Mahagonny" Moon of Alabama
Particularly the second performance completely did it for me - I was hooked....

Well, does hubby know the German version of "Heroes" and the Italian version of "Space Oddity" - they are both on "Rare"
lol-only David Bowie can get away with that...
"Helden"
"Ragazzo Solo, Ragazza Sola"

So what is his German like?

About "Christiane F."
David Bowie also wrote the soundtrack for this movie and took a part as himself during a concert, the characters visit. For the time shockingly graphic depiction of drug dependency after a real life story. Should be on every school curriculum

BUNNY! WOW!! You have a very talented husband - please tell him that from me. That's far mor impressive than my posterart version, I managed to sell on ebay quite a few years back. I meant to do one for ages , I have a very specific photo from his Reality tour, I wanna do, also on a specific format of canvas.

That's excellent Dixie 🙂
Here's another...

Oil on canvas is the only type of paintings he does, they are bloody everywhere.
Can't see the hall wall & the bedroom...well, cluttered is an understatement, lol!

Anyways, I think it's bed time for me, great to talk to a Bowie fan. Sweet dreams Dixie xx
