Is it an Avast Alert? If so what does it say in the Realtime Shields>network shield within Avast?

That should tell you where the problem lies.

I ended up phoning a free line avast call centre in INDIA!

they took about an hour to clean my puter of a virus and lots of carp, but it cost me £108, but any more probs will be sorted for a year,

I did'nt know They can run your computer from India.?????

If you had popped over to the techie board, you could have done it yourself for free with a bit of guidance.

I have learnt heaps from the techie guys.
