Tomorrow night's Euromillions now stands at £141,000,000.00. What I didn't notice was the fact that it has been capped at Euro190,000,000.00. Killjoys, or what? I feel there should be no upper limit. In fact, despite what they say, this Government don't like individuals winning that sort of money - it's one less person they've got under their thumb in a system which is designed to make sure few people get off their station in life.
They've finally been forced to admit that, out of a total of 840 banks and building society accounts available, NOT ONE is able to keep pace with inflation! There was a big article on it on the main page the day before yesterday. That is why any money I win will just stay in my pocket. Interest rates being offered are so pathetic, it isn't worth saving anything. If you don't believe me, check it out for itself. A building society or bank account is only a glorified piggy bank, somewhere to leave the bulk of your money when you go on holiday. I'll tell you something, we're heading for another crash that Germany saw in the early 30's with wheelbarrow loads of money being transported.

It kind of reminds me of the sad, but at the same time amusing story of childhood sweethearts who won $4,000,000.00 on the New York lottery on the eve of their first wedding anniversary - they'd seperated before the second! 😄

Money can't buy happiness,
BUT,
It will buy the things that make me happy. :^O
