Eating "out"?

Do you "Eat Out" much or not at all?

I have several reasons for asking. 1/ I guess I'm just nosey 😀 2/ I'm more than a little curious 3/ I'm wondering if you see it as "good value"? 4/ is it affordable given the current cost of living?

What provoked me to post this was that I've just read a review about a café where the reporter and his wife had breakfast. The reporter chose a "Full English" which comprised streaky bacon, sausages, fried eggs, a pot of baked beans, two slices of toast, two hash browns, a black pudding, some mushrooms and a glass of Apple juice.

His wife chose Eggs Benedict, a glass of Apple juice and a hot chocolate. The bill for that lot came to £38.95!!!!

Now I'd call that an idiotic price to pay for breakfast let alone him being more than greedy for the quantity he chose.

OK, I know restaurants, cafés and the like have to make a living so as to the charge, it may be OK for the time, work and food involved but how many on here would consider or could afford paying that much for breakfast? I guess affording the price is one thing but would you be willing to pay that?
