Ched evans found not guilty. So the accuser now should face a comparable prison sentence for perverting the course of justice. He is tarnished for life yet her anominity is guaranteed for a lifetime. this law needs to be chhanged She is a liar proven by a jury !

When I said I couldn't care less I meant it literally, it is impossible for me to care any less about either of them than I do right now. If there was a scale of one to ten that illustrated my ability to care less, I would be probably in the region of -4 to -5.

I very much understand why you don't care, I too belive this is a tawdry tale that warrents little or no concern, however your original post suggested the wealth of the footballers involved was of significance, "Just another tawdry tale from the lifestyles of the rich and famous". I was questining this because it could have been described as another tawdry tale from the lifestyle of a poor tart in Rhyl.

Just wondered why you thought being rich and famous was of any significance?

If he hadn't been rich and famous the story wouldn't have made it into the press and all the threads on here about him wouldn't have been started. It's a combination of his wealth and being in the public eye that has turned this from a non-event into such a big story. The only time the press have anything of interest to print about so called celebrities is when they flaunt their wealth in a vulgar manner or when they get involved in some sex scandal or other. By his own admission Ched Evans is guity of both and the young woman involved acted no better despite being clearly under the spell of the fame and wealth of both him and his mate. Nobody comes out of this with any dignity which is why I said I couldn't care less about them. As you say, his wealth is beside the point and maybe I could have phrased it differently but I still stand by my comments.
