Hello to all our old friends and newcomers alike. Welcome to Bill & Charlie's Bar - the place to meet other posters and to sit and chat while you sample your favourite tipple. Plenty to drink, lots of joking but alas no smoking.

We are open all hours (hic) and run a respectable Bar. (Although I argued with Charlie until I was blue in the face over that one!) No swearing, spitting or drun..drunk...drunken beeeehaviour (hic). We have a couple of bouncers to hand ~ she comes in on Friday nights.

Teetotallers are welcome and will be treated as normal. I jest ~ soft drinks are available at the bar along with light snacks. And finally, please use the emergency exit when Bill rambles on about the good ol' days and put plugs in your ears when Charlie 'sings'.

Anyone know how one gets a drink around here, been propping up the Bar for nigh on twelve hours and not a Bar person in sight! Popped outside to the loo a couple of times (goes with the age ) There was a well dressed woman lying face down in the phlox clutching a book titled "learning to garden and more" by Monty Don and then there's that catweazle lookalike poleaxed across the one armed bandit with what appears to be the Bar bell in his pocket! Think I'll pop next door to the frog and Ferret see if I can get a cup of Twinings breakfast tea until someone decides to open up!

She wasn't staff Yvonne, I think she runs a local bedding agency (plants that is) lovely lady, lovely lady but a tendancy to hit the bottle I fear :^O

We take everything with a smile in our Bar and the place next door is a Wool shop BTW so **** knows what you've got in that sandwich! 😄
