Me too, Doc - not having a good day myself 😞 Just after discovering this morning that we can't do smileys etc anymore, my internet server went down - it's only just come back in the last half hour.:_|
 
I love the internet and was the first in the family to get a pooter and get connected (lots of funny looks and "what do you want a pooter for, then" remarks  :^O). Now they all have their own and I'm on standby for when it all goes pear-shaped. 

 Although I've been buying and selling on Ebay since 2002 and lurked on the RT occasionally, I didn't start posting until December last year. I had hoped to do so for a long time because it was, as you say, really good fun. However, unless this is an Ebay glitch of some sort - and I sincerely hope it is - I suspect people will wander off now...which will be an awful shame as there are some really witty people on here, yourself included :-x.  Some evenings I have been crying with laughter at some of the antics on the FC.......:^O

Sorry, about the long thread, I'm not sure how many posts I have left...but at least I now know they get re-set at 12.00pm. 🙂

I hope the trick with the baby-sitting worked?

Hello Charlie...:-x  Good to see you. That song left a lump in my throat. 😞

Seems you've been around on eBay about the same length of time as me. I stopped selling about two years ago though, but had some great times when I was selling. 'Met' some amazing people too.

My first computer was given to me out of the blue by my son-in-law when he bought a new one. It had a 1 GB hard drive 😮  I write stories and on that one I used to get a warning after one paragraph that I had no memory left...:-(

The baby-sitting didn't happen after all. She's a real darling though. Absolutely beautiful - takes after her grandad :^O

Well, this looks like a letter. I'd better let you read it if you're still there...:-)

I don't sell so much as buy these days too. I remember one of the very first items I bought on Ebay. They were a set of egg cups that I'd been looking for on behalf of a friend.  They were a set of four - but when they arrived the seller had included an extra 2 - she hadn't put them in the description as they were very slightly chipped! My friend was over the moon as they were very scarce and now she had a full set - and for no extra money! As you say, some amazing people on Ebay.....:^O

You're so lucky having a grandchild. I haven't had children but do have loads of nevvies and nieces and now there's a new one on the way in December :O.
I usually have at least one of them staying here if they've had an argument with Mum and/or Dad :^O

We've got four grandchildren - Aimee, Lewis, Lexie and Jayden. When I told an uncle I had a grandson called Jayden, he said; "What? Sounds like a bleedin' dish cloth!"  :^O

The two older ones - Aimee & Lewis are both on Facebook. Still at school though and shouldn't be on there really. Sounds like you like kids too. I bet you enjoy the company of your nieces & nephews...?
