Yes I read that Ted had passed away. He had become quite a star in his own right especially when Paul & Bob pretended to do his 'voice'.  Also two books were written in his name. Ted was a patterdale terrier, a rescue dog, who lived with the shows executive producer. He will be in one final episode in the new series I understand.

David Burke (Dr. Watson in the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes series) has passed away. 10th May but only saw it in the news yesterday.
