Good news at last.
He has been convicted of 11 counts of criminal conduct related to the taking of 16 hostages in Yemen in 1998 that left three Britons and an Australian dead. He was also found guilty of advocating violent jihad in Afghanistan in 2001 and conspiring to establish a jihad training camp in Oregon between June 2000 and December 2001.
I don't think they don't have the death penalty in oregon. (shame) But at least his life-style will change for a long, long time.

Yes, thank you.
I know the death penalty is still with 32 states. What a shame he was not tried in one of those 32 states.
Must be a reason why he wasn't ?

I don;t believe the death penalty would serve much of a purpose in his case. He would find that in my opinion acceptable, becoming martyred.
Imprisonment in solitary confinement with only the basic needs of food and drink supplied, taking his freedom away with no visiting rights would do more to punish him than death in my opinion.

American prisons don't bear the slightest resemblance to UK jails. That's if they're anything like the prison documentaries portray - Louis Theroux's programmes for example - and we have no reason to believe otherwise. He'll think he's arrived in Hades. Long may he live and suffer. And he will there's no doubt about it - the inmates will see to that. Once the warders have given deference to his blind eye, and turned one.

Well I'm not so sure about that ? Wouldn't he just becoming DEAD?
Muslims on here might advise us?
Aren't acts of terrorism forbidden in Islam? Abu Hamza broke the rules so isn't he no longer regarded as a Muslim by the world wide Muslim community?
His lawyers are to appeal. Now that's a surprise. Part of their appeal will be that he was only guilty of nothing but offensive views.
It's interesting to see May, Cameron & Brokenshire leaping on this judgement as if they were instrumental in its delivery.
The truth of the matter is they failed for so many years to do what the Americans did in months.
Oh tea and biscuits later. (wink)

Just because a problem wasn't addressed at conception, it doesn't mean an accident of birth shouldn't be rectified later.........even much later!!

Well talking of sorting things out:
Shouldn't benefits for Abu Hamza's family be reviewed? Its ''deeply offensive'' to hardworking taxpayers that families such as Hamza's were able to live off the state at enormous cost.
And now his family will be able to continue to live in their taxpayer funded £1.25 million house - and receive £650 a week in state benefits - bringing their annual income in housing benefit and child benefit to more than £33,000 a year.
Eight children, and four of his sons have been in jail. Two of them for ''terrorists'' offences.
Theresa May, the Home Secretary, refused to comment on the family's benefits. Oh dear Theresa. Its not that important then???
Perhaps Mr Cameron, just might have a little more to say on such an ''unimportant matter'' somewhere in the far distant future?

Yes, You have to ask your self would you want them living next door, or even in the same street?
Ask May, or Cameron? (or even anyone on here?)
Several of Hamza's sons have also become criminals.
Mustafa Kamel, 32, and stepson Mohssin Ghailam, 33 were jailed in Yemen in 1999 for their involvement in a ''BOMB'' plot. Yes, a ''BOMB'' plot.
On their return to UK they were again jailed for a car scam in 2009.
Hamza Kamel, 27, was jailed for two and a half years for handling stolen goods while Imran Mostafa, 22 was jailed for 11 years for an ''ARMED'' robbery.
Yasser Karmel, was jailed for ''VIOLENT'' disorder at an anti-Israel demonstration.
Hamza bought bought a £220,000 buy to let home in the city why he was in prison.
Although Abu Hamza and most of the children have gone, his wife still remains in that enormous house. Though the council have asked her to down - size. I'm trying to find something good to say about this lot, but I can't . Can you?
May, Cameron, and the rest of the politicians handling this lot over the years well done. For making US a laughing stock!!!
