A tragic day.

It was 23 years ago that Diana died. I remember the first newsflash that said Dodi was dead and Diana was injured.

Sadly....... she died..........

There's a song now on the choons thread, play it?

I remember that day very well CeeDee...a very good friend of mine, who was a huge Diana fan, had the day off work to watch the funeral on TV. She lit a candle and placed it in the window, and went to watch the funeral. Half way through the service, there was frantic knocking on the door....her curtains had caught fire and the Fire Brigade was on their way! It was hilarious...but on a very sad day.😥

Blimey, she certainly wouldn't forget that day?

I dunno about anyone else but I think where they buried Diana wasn't very nice. A nice setting in general perhaps but if anyone had asked Diana before she died if she'd like to be buried there, I don't think she'd have been very enthusiastic?

I thought it was a bit spiteful in a way, sort of preventing anyone from going to her grave.

I think I remember CeeDee, that there were some theories that she wasn't really buried there, but in a secret place where only her family know. I do remember too, thinking that the whole country suffered a temporary loss of sanity...the reaction was so utterly over the top.
