Re: The Interment of the (very) late King Richard III.
Regrettably the Round Table will closed all day Thursday 26th inst, for the state funeral.
Her Maj apologises, but unfortunately she will not be attending. (Although she has exonerated him his past indiscretions, and given him the Royal Seal of Approval). She has delegated this task to be carried out by the Countess of Wessex, which is nice for her. At least it'll get her out of the house for the day.
Thank you for your co-operation and understanding .

At least he was English! And if he'd continued in his reign, we wouldn't have had the Welsh Tudors, the Scottish Stuarts, and the German Hanoverians troublesomely occupying the throne.
All these foreign usurpers screwed up England. Look what a mess it's in today. If only Richard III had won at Bosworth! A victory there, would have have cemented his rule, and enabled him quash any future rebellions.
Richard would have been a very great king. Don't historians agree on that? I think we all intuitively feel it. As witness the reverence paid to his bones, when they were laid to rest in the recent ceremonies.
Don't these ceremonies bring to life the essential English spirit, which we all secretely treasure. But are not allowed to speak of much, these days.
