eBay app on iOS freezes upon entering the basket

Basically stated everything in the title. I have over 50 items in my basket until recent times everything worked fine, but now when I'm trying to enter basket, it freezes the whole app and I have to close it and basically the whole app lags a lot

Although this is the Technical Issues board there's no-one here who can actually help with technical issues - we're all just like you: eBay users who are happy to pass on their knowledge and help others.

That sounds like an App issue - have you updated yours recently? If not, have you tried updating yours recently? Other than that the only thing I can do is tag the Community Team members and hope this is flagged up to the technical team for investigation. Don't hold your breath though - even if this issue is passed on and investigated and a fix is issued no announcement will be made and you won't know unless your App stops freezing (although that might happen because of a completely unrelated fix/code release).

I was checking there for you, and I saw no reporting suggesting this malfunction within the app. Could you please try deleting and reinstalling the app to see if that fixes the issue? It that doesn't work, please let us know and I will be happy to report that to our tech team.

Hi, I'm having the same issue with app freezing when I go to the basket. 
I got a lot of items in the basket and I can't access any of those. I've tried deleting the app, updating it, and it's still the same.

Leaving many items in a basket for too long seems to cause issues for some users. The basket system seems to work best when the basket is kept empty until you are actually ready to check out. Even then, there are limits to the number of items that can be checked out at the same time -- something on the order of forty items.

Try deleting some items or "saving for later".

It sounds like the large number of items in your basket is causing performance issues. This could be due to how the app handles large data sets. Try clearing the cache or reducing the number of items temporarily to see if performance improves. You may also want to check if the app has updates or if there’s an issue with memory management.
