eBay App Not Working or Updating!

I have spent hours trying to access my eBay account after being shut-out by a sudden error message stating that "The Version is No Longer Supported". But after several unsuccessful attempts to update (including uninstalling) all that's happening, is it loops back to the same error message. Clearly, there is an an app system issue (but the 'Status' page is not recognising there's even a problem)...what are you supposed to do tried everything?

Please acknowledge this issue and then kindly resolve it  asap.

According to a post on the UK community boards, the latest version of the eBay app requires Android 10 or later, or iOS 17 or later.

If you cannot upgrade your operating system or find an older version of the app that works with your current operating system, you should still be able to use a browser to go to ebay.co.uk instead.

If eBay browser links are opening in the Android version of the app automatically, you can disable that by going to your device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Opens supported links and choosing "Don't open in the app". iOS users can tap and hold an eBay browser link and choose "Don't open in the app".

I have just found the same problem.  I use my laptop pretty much all the time, but I like the app open on my tablet as it alerts me to any sales (few and far between), messages etc.  I noticed yesterday that I hadn't heard the notification for a while and assumed it had just logged itself out as it often does, so went to open it and got the same message "No longer supported - update".  I also have been going around in circles uninstalling and reinstalling just to come up with the same.

I got onto reading the many one star reviews against the app where everyone has the same issue and is very unhappy.   So many of them are saying they are leaving and shopping elsewhere if they can't get the app to work on their older tablets.

Surely this is just one more thing driving people away!

yup .... same here now I can only Ebay when sat at my PC ...... sorry sellers my business is going else where ...

If your phone has a browser you can use that to reach ebay.co.uk.

i want to use the app

you go on it and it says oops something went wrong

they could at least inform people of what the problem is and how to fix it surely 

or maybe not

its ok I know what the problem is but had to find out myself
