Withdrsw button greyed out

Hello,

I've had my eBay account for years, used it on and off to buy and sell things, never receive any negatives feedback.

Sold some things this week and received the funds, they aren't being processed or on hold but are in my account, when I go to the payments page to withdraw it shows me my balance (see attached image) that I can use the money on eBay or withdraw, however the button to withdraw is completely greyed out and nothing happens when clicking it. I've tried this on both android mobile app, mobile browser and Google Chrome on a PC and it's the same on all.

My bank account and credit card are linked and verified too.

I requested a callback and was talking to Graham who confirmed there's nothing wrong with my account and my bank account is verified and told me it's a technical problem and it's been passed onto the IT department however I won't receive any info back for atleast 2 days, which is unhelpful in my case as I'm flying out to America

Upon researching the error I've seen it's quite common and many users have reported it, so I have to wonder why there hasn't been any efforts to stop it from happening or why there's not a quick fix for something so common?

Any information or support id really appreciate, thanks

Going by your feedback you hadn't used your account recently but now you have sold two relatively expensive items so I would think the payments are on hold or your bank needs verifying again.   You could try the latter again.   See "Verifying your banking details" on here:

Hi @harrwisema-0 ,

Thank you for your post.

We have had other users report a similar issue with trying to withdraw funds on their account. There is an open ticket with tech who are working on it.

However for your account the withdraw function seems to be not be working for a different technical reason which is what the customer support agent is following up for you. He will be back in contact once it has been reviewed.

Thank you,

Kat

It's none of this, the operator confirmed my bank is successfully verified and on the payments page it states that payments that are on hold aren't incorporated into the available now balance.

It simply tells me I can use the money in my balance to spend it on items on eBay, so the money is fine and ready to go, there's just no option to withdraw it

Hi Kat, how are you?

The operator told me he'd contact me on Friday for an update but I've received nothing. The issue still persists. It tells me the money in my balance is available to use on eBay to buy other things, it just won't let me withdraw it, even though my identity and bank account are successfully verified (confirmed by the operator)

It's just a bit strange, I've seen loads of reports of this online and it's a bit like eBay have decided to make this technical difficulty (that really should just be fixable with ease, no? Like even a manual withdrawal from the operator should be possible, so it just looks like it's a way for eBay to try to just get people to continue to plug money back around their site rather than withdrawing)

Id really appreciate any support moving further otherwise I think I'm going to contact my ombudsman or even a court case to get my funds you know, respectfully

Thanks

Hi @harrwisema-0 ,

Thank you for your reply.

The agent helping with your account has sent it to be reviewed but I'm afraid he doesn't have control over the timeline of the review being done. The soonest he gets an update he will be back in contact with you.

Thank you,

Kat
