I use Business Policies to set my postage rates, and everything is configured correctly on my end.
To demonstrate the issue, I’ve attached a screenshot:
Using the dropdown box shows the correct postage for delivery to the UK – Royal Mail 2nd Class at £4.60.
Changing the dropdown to show the postage to Guernsey – again Royal Mail 2nd Class at £4.60 (although oddly the destination name disappears from the box).
Attached picture, however, shows the postage to Jersey – and this is where the problem arises. Jersey is being charged £18.43 for Royal Mail International Tracked, which is completely wrong.
I haven’t done anything different. My business policies are set up properly and haven't changed. Royal Mail charges the same rate to deliver to Jersey as it does within the mainland UK – in fact, it costs me the same to send a parcel to Jersey as it does to the next village.
This looks like a platform-level issue where eBay is wrongly classifying Jersey as an international destination, rather than part of the UK delivery zone.
Could someone at eBay please fix this. It’s unfair to buyers and makes it look like I’m overcharging when I’m not.

ebay have changed it because Evri, one of their preferred couriers classes the Channel Islands as Europe and charge more, even though Royal Mail still charge the same as UK.

I am aware this change has been made for private sellers being moved onto Simple Delivery — and that’s fine if it’s limited to them.
But this should never have been implemented in a way that affects business sellers. If it’s a backend adjustment to accommodate Evri or Simple Delivery, then fair enough — but eBay should be keeping those systems separate.
Right now, it's forcing a business seller like me to charge international rates to Jersey, even though Royal Mail treats it exactly the same as any UK destination. That’s just wrong — both for sellers and buyers.
