Unable to attach pictures to ebay Messages this morning Nov 1st

Used the facility yesterday (26 November '24) and it worked fine.

Difficult to understand how a relatively simple procedure, frequently used by eBayers, should fail in such a way.

Well done for escalating and advising resolution of this frustrating hiccup.

Thanks. Agreed, it's working with the new update.

I find it unbelievable that with the new messaging update, there's now LESS functionality to access the customer's order details from the chat. 

Previously, you had to go to the 'reply' page in order to find a clickable link for the order number. With the update, the easiest way to find the order details from a customer who has raised a question is to copy the buyers user name, navigate to 'All orders' and paste into the search field. It's so backwards.

Am I on my own here, or do other have the same gripe?

Thanks for the fix update kat@ebay 👍 Glad it's sorted.

@mgocspares I agree - the cross linking from one type of data to another (eg an order to a user, a message to a listing etc )  is a total mess - its inconsistent and makes the site unnecessarily hard to use. the upshot is that everything takes longer to do as you fanny around trying to get the info you need.

That is a fair point regarding the order details on the new messaging system. Others have raised this on other threads. We have fed it back to the development team for review on future enhancements.

I just thought I should add that ebay's recent changes to the orders page where you can click on a user and see all their orders is EXCELLENT and exactly the sort of solution we need to be applied consistently across the site 👍

I generally like the new messenger system... I just find it a bit ironic that I prefer the community support messaging system 😅

Hi am also having same issue cannot attach picture to show the item am after, makes it easier when buying car parts.
