Text entry error

When I edit my search I delete letters in the search field mid centence or mid word the letter is erased then the cursor goes to the end of the line this is annoying when I'm editing several letters or words in my search. I have tried clearing the cache, clearing data, and even tried reinstalling the ebay app, none of which makes any difference. How do I fix this?

Using Apps can throw up random errors , try --- Using a PC/Laptop --- suggest disabling any VPN and word processing (e.g. Grammarly) downloads --- might make a difference ??.

I've also noticed this in the Android app. Something has changed in the search box.

It's as if the app is now doing something intensive on every character, as they are input, to such an extent that characters are being missed if I enter them quickly.

And yes, if I try to put the cursor in the middle of the text I've entered, as soon as I type anything or delete a character, the cursor jumps to the end. Totally unwanted and obstructive behaviour.

I hope this gets fixed. Meantime I'm using the mobile website.
