Hi, I am a seller and want to remove my account from hold. But the website requested an American for confirmation, which I don't have. So please help me

Perhaps our current Prime Minister , The Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer KCB KC MP, is not keen on hosting your business at his home, or that you have given the wrong postcode?

Firstly as a business account you need to show your correct contact details and not fictitious ones, unless our Primeminister has a new side hussle to pay for his clothing.....
Your account is brand new (opened yesterday) so you need to get the banking details all sorted for managed payments. Have you done this? ONce that is all in place and you show the correct business contact details then you should be good to go.

Something obviousy strange here, as this account seems to be registered in the UK, so unsure where and why, the American information is needed.
For this you'll need to contact eBay Customer Services they have access to your account and can explain what is needed here.
Lines are currently closed, but reopen shortly at 8 a.m. contact CS then, as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
The easiest and quickest way to contact Customer Services is through this link, for a Call Back .
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid
On weekdays lines open between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Weekends lines open between 9 a.m. to 6p.m.
Do please come bcak and tell us if and how they solved the issue, as it may help us here, help others if this issue arises again, thank you.

eBay will NOT remove the hold from your account as you set it up with false details
eBay are not stupid
You have to prove your REAL name and address to be able to sell on eBay
You need to provide ID to PROVE your real name, address and a real bank account so that your sales can be tracked by eBay, Trading Standards and HMRC
Thanks, but eBay does not need sellers who provide fake contact details - so your account will remain on hold. Thank you eBay for keeping buyers safe from sellers like this. I'm glad their ID checks work!

Check OPs "contact details" they set the account up with fake details. They do not have ID with these fake details on it so cannot prove their address. eBay does not need sellers like this, so they correctly put their account on hold.

By opening an account with fake details you have probably managed to ban yourself from eBay permanently too now, as any new accounts you open will also be placed on hold. Opening new accounts to get round a hold on another account is against eBay rules and will get new accounts put on hold too.
eBay have ways of linking any new accounts to this account you opened with fake details so your selling on eBay may now be prevented even before you have started as any new accounts you open to get around the hold will also be put on hold/suspended!
Hope you haven't bought too much stock or you will need to do a lot of car boot sales to get rid of it!

Maybe Ebay have a sense of humour and want Trump or Biden to validate your credentials as the PM of the UK.

On the basis Biden isn't running I doubt it..... eBay certainly don't have a sense of humour on these sort of matters. In order to keep the platform safe this sort of behaviour isn't or shouldn't be tolerated
