Multi Buy Orders

I am following up from your query on yesterdays chat regarding the issue you are experiencing with multi buy orders being split into two orders.  The post you mentioned from this board looks to have been quite a few months ago so is no longer there. 

Can you share some item numbers from a recent order where this split into two orders happened?

Multi Buy Orders

Yes I raised the original post a few months ago and I don't believe I ever got a reply on it.

I have looked at today's orders and have an example where a customer has brought 2 items on a Multi Buy. It has applied the discount correctly but spread the order over 2 orders. I believe It really should be a single order.

 

If you are using ebay Postage you can see that the orders need merging but mostly I don't use this and it is a very manual process to find the orders that need merging.

 

The 2 orders are

The item numbers on the orders are

I don't suppose the buyer was delivering to a collection point at all? Or did they choose an upgraded postage on one of the lines?

No upgraded delivery and not being sent to any collection points. 

 

It happens to me fairly frequently. I normally have 1 or 2 orders a day which are multi buy orders split over 2 orders.

 

The multi buys are set up at category level if that makes any difference

Hi @direct.gifts ,

 

After logging this with tech they advised orders are grouped together based on the shipping service. If items have different shipping services selected they are put into different orders. Can you check if this is the case with your orders?

Multi Buy Orders

Okay so in the example I gave you the name of the service was slightly different on the 2 SKU's. However it is essentially the same service.

 

I think the problem is with the way my postage policies are set up. I seem to have different policies for different SKU's. All of these policies have slightly different service names.

 

So to fix it I really need to have the same postage policy for each SKU.
