International Postage Options Hanging

I reported this issue on 28 April and a technical ticket has been raised but no response has been provided. Screenshots have been provided, a video has been provided and all of the usual troubleshooting has been done MANY MANY times.

 

It is driving me crazy - I can't list any items from templates and I cannot edit shipping zones or costs on any active listings (separate technical ticket raised for that). For both the the template issue and the active listing issue, international shipping options were present. When going into the template or active listings, they have disappeared - that always used to be unreliable so you used to just click on Add Services and they would miraculously re-appear, however, this time the pop up screen is blank and just hangs.

 

eBay customer service just tell me to wait 48 hours, the agent is taking "personal responsibility" for it and will get back to me. Of course, nobody ever does.

 

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Are you in business policies there?

What is throwing me off with yours is the 25p fee to list on the US and Canada site, I have never seen that. Are you on .co.uk there or .com?

No, it's not business policies - I am familiar with that issue and know what it looks like.

 

The screen that you have shared is what should be there and that's the point really.

 

The 25p check box is the international site visibility upgrade to list on .com (I am .co.uk) and is only available in certain categories and is unrelated to the issue I am having.

Did you have any Royal Mail international options which became defunct and might have led to the glitch. I am thinking International Signed and International Tracked & Signed for example.

 

If it is something very left field like that only eBay are going to be able to solve it.

 

I’d try to create a business policy from scratch and use it on a fresh listing that isn’t being drafted from templates or a sell similar and see what happens.

No, it's not the royalmail options that have changed - I'm aware of those and it doesn't apply. They were all updated post that change which was a while ago. It just suddenly started to happen on 28/04.

 

I don't use business policies as every item has bespoke charges.

 

I guess I was more interested to see if anyone else was/had experienced the same. After posting and then scrolling the boards, I see some do. I guess we'll just have to wait for eBay to respond "within 48 hours"....11 days after reporting it (and calling every day).

How do the listing templates allow you to make the postage charges more bespoke than a business policy does?

Oh, it doesn't make it more bespoke - it's just doesn't give any efficiency gains when listing when you have bespoke postage charges per item.

 

In postage policies you cannot save a policy just for international services (you can in rate tables but that is too blunt in terms of a flat costs) without setting a domestic service and you can't set Simple Delivery as that domestic service. You also can't save the postage policy without entering a value - that's less of an issue as you could just change it when applied in the listing but isn't as efficient. In templates you can save everything for domestic and international to your needs and then just enter the calculated values and it's much more efficient when every item is bespoke in terms of shipping costs and PDDP etc.
