Ebay ran into a problem.
To make it easier.
I have cleared my cache.
Checked I have an up to date browser.
Check I have a mobile phone just in case I forgot to buy one in the last 30 years.
Turned my laptop on and off again.

I think someone's been playing programming Kerplunk again...
I've been tramping round the site for the last half-hour or so and it's been fine (well, up to its usual standard at least). Then in the last 10 mins it's all gone screwy - I go to my Purchase History to leave feedback, click on the 'Leave Feedback' button and get a red banner reading "We cannot find this transaction". Funny, but I can - it's in my Purchase History...
Then I go to my Watchlist which has for years now been set to 100 items per page. Suddenly, in the middle of my session and without me doing anything, it's reset to 10 items per page.
The sheer incompetence of the level of programming on this site is breath-taking. There has, in the last 20 minutes, quite evidently been a release of totally untested code direct to the live site. It's beyond a joke.
I'm not even going to bother clearing cache or cookies or try another browser. I'll try another website.

I had the log in problem a few years back, when I eventually logged in and requested a call back they told me I had run out of one time pin numbers and needed to buy some more, think they charged me about £28.00 for another 1000 so I paid by card over the phone, when it happened yesterday I thought had used up the 1000 and needed to buy some more.

Eh? I'm sorry - what? You had to pay in order to have PIN numbers sent to you which you need to access the site? So you're paying to access eBay?
That is jaw-droppingly bizarre, it really is. I have never had that issue but if I was ever informed that I effectively had to pay in order to be allowed to use the site then they can stick that idea where the sun don't shine.

Yes the buy from CS said they would escalate the problem and get someone to call me and they said I had run out of them so had to buy more, I figured it was how they did it.
