Cant log into app

I'm struggling to login to the app on Android (latest build on both Android and eBay app).

I have tried everything, uninstalling, reinstalling, deleting cache and data, rebooting...everything!

I simply get a message saying "technical difficulties, try again later". If I try to reset the password I get the same message. If I try to report the issue, I get a network error.

I have raised a ticket with support but they haven't responded.

Can someone help...please?

What version number of the app do you have now? There are things that can prevent you from seeing or getting the latest version, so you may not actually have the latest version just because you cannot see a newer version in the Google Play Store.

If your operating system does not support the latest version of the eBay app and you cannot update your operating system or use a previous version that is still supported, it should still be possible to use a mobile browser to go to ebay.com or ebay.co.uk and use eBay that way.

If eBay browser links are opening in the app automatically, Android users need to go to the device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Open supported links and select "don't open in the app".

I'm using the latest version, released on 16 Oct. I have tried to roll back to a previous version with no joy. My Android build is the latest and was working previously with the eBay app so I'm really confused.

Did you try uninstalling, restarting your phone, then reinstalling the app, in that order? The restart in between should ensure a clean install, which can help if the problem was with a previous installation not finishing cleanly.

If that does not work, try using a browser instead of the app until the next update is available.

Yeah, tried that, still not working. The website is woeful on a mobile. So annoying that after years of almost flawless use, I can't even login.

No response to my ticket either. Disappointing.

I have the same. In my case it is OnePlus 12 with Oxygen Os 14. I have not been able to log into the app for 2 months. There was no problem before. I have checked other brands of phones: Xiaomi and Oppo. They work fine.
