Depending on your device go to app store/play store

Go to the profile icon and then manage apps and devices

Select the app you want to update

Have completed all advised by Ebay still unable to update.  Read the forum advice, does not work.

Appears we've got to go out & buy different devices to get the Ebay App.

Won't be doing that,  unless this gets resolved pretty soon this loyal Ebayer will moving over to Amazon.  Ridiculous to update the app without considering the devices people use.  Cone on Ebay, please sort the situation

Hi @milliondollargrandma ,

With the recent app update versions 6.191 and older of the eBay app are no longer supported by devices not using iOS 17 and Android 10. Earlier operating systems date back several years and are now no longer able to support the latest eBay experience.

While I appreciate this is not the news you want, this tends to happen down the line with apps, and software versions these days. It is not something  that eBay just does, all apps, platforms, and mobile software go through updates, and while some might last a little longer than others, they all stop working/being supported at some point due to compatibility.
