why is ebay putting fake adds on that ask you email and you cannot report adds

ebay is full of theses adds seems its a reg thing one add has a picture of an old van I sold 3 years ago

Why can't you report, there is a report link on every ad.

In any case it would be very unwise to respond to anyone who is breaking the rules with their ads. If they would try to defraud ebay of their fees they would defraud any gullible buyers.

Ebay does not put listings on, sellers do, and Ebay cannot monitor every single listing to establish if they are genuine. With vehicles it is very much a case of buyer beware, as there is no Ebay or Paypal protection. However, potential buyers, even after agreeing to buy, can still walk away if the vehicle is not as described.

There is a report item link on every listing, but at present Ebay are more concerned with removing the thousands of scam listings for mask and sanitiser etc.
