Hi I am trying to list an item and am getting conflicting error messages that cannot be resolved. Any help would be appreciated.
This Buy It Now item cannot be posted so I selected Collection in Person on Postage Policy and Cash on Collection for Payment Policy, finally marked Returns Not Accepted for Returns Policy.
Clicked List and a red error message popped up at the top of the screen saying "You need to accept PayPal as a payment method for this listing."
Started all over again and got the same message.
In frustration I changed the Payment Policy to pay by Paypal and left Collection in Person on. An error message popped under the Payment Policy window "Because you've specified Local Collection Only for this item, you can't require immediate payment."
I've sold a few items over the years setting up pay on collection and had not bothers.
Has something changed to cause this conflict? Can anyone tell me how to deal with this conumdrum?
We must be able to sell things so that someone can pay cash once they have seen the item and then mark payment received.
Thanks in anticipation.
Laurie
As @tobiasd4 ... Set your 'Cash on collection preferred' payment terms and pickup requirements here >
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/posting-items/setting-postage-options/local-pickup?id=4181
With 'Collect in person only' setting ... Buyer sees = 'You can contact your seller to arrange to pay for and collect your item.'
Even though cash on collection is best for seller & buyer,
ebay say you can't refuse paypal.
