how do u sell furniture from Dublin to the uk I am requested to state postage  its up to the buyer to arrange a courier  and because of the outstanding request for postage i can not place add

Buyers do not arrange their own couriers - it would create all sorts of problems, for both parties. If you're happy to package furniture to withstand the rigours of courier delivery (and international courier delivery at that), and to wait in all day for a courier to arrive, then you should arrange your own courier, and offer delivery on the listing.  You'll get far more interest, and so usually a higher price.  If you're not happy to do that, stick to local collection only, for payment in cash.

never allow buyers to arrange couriers, you should arrange and deal with delivery yourself, because it just creates issues when it comes to any disputes.
