problem with selling

Hi, I have around 100 N95 reusable face masks at home, they were very expensive for me and I intended to dell them on without making much profit. however I tried putting them on eBay and it doesn't allow because I'm overcharging, but I don't think I'm overcharging because I am not making much profit on it and it will be a great monetary loss for me if I can't sell it. and loads of people need them so I would think you should let people who aren't overcharging sell them for a reasonable price. Many Thanks, Eli Cohen.

care homes, hospitals, doctors etc are struggling to get hold of this stuff, so why not do your good deed for the month and donate them to your local surgery, maybe it will be noticed at the pearly gates 🙂

only registered business sellers who were selling masks before the crisis are allowed to sell them

ebay use the generic 'price gouging' as the reason, as they haven't changed their coding to include 'you are not a business seller so you can't sell them'

I am not making much profit on it

To list items you have bought on eBay to sell on eBay is a business activity. You haven't registered as a business seller to do this.

Because of the number of sellers trying to profit from the coronavirus emergency, even business sellers are prohibited from selling face masks unless they were selling these before the emergency was announced.

You can't dispose of them through eBay. If you didn't buy them with a view to making a profit, try offering them to local care homes or similar, at cost. They may be pleased to have them.
