money on hold - can I still change paypal account

Hi, 

I've recently sold few thing on ebay and I realised that my ebay is connected with paypal acoount which I can not access. 

I can't reset password because veryfication is via telephone number which doesn't exist anymore. 

The money is still on hold. I've changed paypal account on ebay. 

My question is: 

When they released the moeny would they appeare on the old paypal account I can't access or on new account connected with ebay after the sale. 

Or would I have a choice where to send my money?

I tried to contact paypal but they don't work due to coronavirus. 

Can anyone please help? 🙂

I am afraid that you should have left things as they were. Money on hold is already in a paypal account, it is just not accessible to you. The whole point of a hold is to prevent rogue sellers being able to withdraw money and disappear.

Once released it will just move from held to being available. If you have no access then I hate to think of the complications you have caused for yourself, the most likely result is that money will be returned to the buyer in due course.

I understand money hold policy and I agree with that. I don't mind 🙂
It's just ... I didn't realise that I had PayPal payment option available for buyers. This information is at the end of the page, small letters... I should have read every word carefully!
I'm new as a seller.
I'm so angry .... it wasn’t t that much money but still more than 100 😕
I hope that help centre starts working soon and maybe they will help.

Sorry, It's me again. I've just found another information for my case.
I opened email from PayPal service about a payment.
Just to clarify - I can access my email but I can’t access PayPal account connected with it.
To the point:
“At the end of this email there is information that this email has not been approved. To receive the money, I need to approve this email. To do it I need to click on the link below and type a code they gave me. “
So if it’s not been approved maybe there is still any chance to solve my problem? What do you think?

Are you absolutely certain the e-mail is from Paypal, and relates to your problem? There are so many scam e-mails that look authentic.

i would give paypal a ring, because this sounds like a spoof email to me.
does the alleged email from paypal refer to you by name, if it doesn`t, it`s fake!

Yes, I'm pretty sure it's from PayPal I sold few items on auctions. Soon after it finished, I received email from ebay - information that my item was sold
and a little bit later from paypal that I received money from buyer etc
And yes, it refers to me by name.
I don't think it's fake.
I use same email for ebay and paypal.
The thing is I didn't use PayPal for a very long time. I wasn't selling anything and when I buy online I always use card.
So, I don't remember PayPal password ....
and like I said before I’ve changed telephone number in the meantime which I need to change password - for verification... I never updated telephone number on paypal - because I didn't use PayPal 😕

and the worse think is - I rang them but I didn't manage to talk to anyone because they are not working because od coronavirus ...

It seems that there is nothing I can do. I decided to wait. I know that after a month PayPal with send the money back to buyers. So then, when I'm sure that buyers received their money back and they are able to check it, I'm going to contact them via ebay .... and I will shortly explain that there was a problem with PayPal, and that I couldn’t contact PayPal to sort it out... and I will kindly ask to resend the money to my bank account or different paypal account ...
I know I might not get the money but ... I don't have better idea for now.

If anyone has, please tell 🙂 I'd be very grateful.
