managed payments.

I just want to see if others are having the same issue. I have had my first 'ebay managed payment' sale. The funds are processing and ebay have told me to post. I have posted and payment is still processing. So I have no 'item' and no money! Ive read that it could take days before i actually get the cash....Really??? This system puts the sellers at a disadvantage - In theory the buyer could be using the goods before the seller has actually recieved the cash. Is this the standard now?

I HATE this new system it is totally unfair to sellers why Should we have to wait days on end to get our money it worked perfectly well as it was with pay pal and getting the funds instantly and they obvs don’t pay out over weekends either
Cos over got over £60 “processing” since Thursday!!!

The funds are not processing.  It is the order that is processing, ie. waiting for you to ship.  If it was not safe to ship, the payment would not have reached your Ebay account. You would not even have known that an order had been placed.  Ebay would have rejected it to protect you.  So ship the order, as instructed on the banner at the top of your Orders page.

When Ebay transfers my payments, they reach my bank account as cleared funds within seconds.  If your bank is ridiculously taking days to clear a payment wihich has effectively already been cleared, find a different bank!

If this is your first payment received via Managed Payments, be aware that payments cannot transfer to your bank account unless the names on your Ebay and bank accounts are absolutely identical. Full information on MP is in the Seller Centre and in the Help pages, so have a good read so that you understand how it works.

yes it is standard,

as long as it said dispatch by ... it was safe to post

Awaiting dispatch means that the buyer’s payment has been confirmed and it’s time to post the order. To see when the funds will be sent to your bank account, visit Payments. Get more help with your managed payments questions.

Is this the standard now?

Yes. Not instant payment like paypal.
