high fees from ebay

How do e-bay justify taking £1.58,off me in fees for an item i sold for only £9,99,thats more than ten per cent,???whats going on here??not worth bothering...ROG H

Fees apply on postage too.  Paypal also charges.  

Even with these charges you are left with about £8.50 which is not to be sneezed at surely?

If you want more then sell at higher prices or do not accept offers!

i thought ebay owned paypal so why too hikes on our sales?,,,,why dont they charge one fee and make it clear what the percentage will then be,and if folk feel its too high they can try another site,it seems underhand this,,your rh

eBay no longer owns Paypal and have their own payment system now which you are on.
Didn't you read the details when you gave eBay your bank information for payments?
eBay now charge 12.8%+30p for private sales,there are no additional paypal fees
