Why sign up to an Ebay Promotion that Takes MORE Money in Fees ?

I was initially delighted to get an Ebay promotion offer for sub-£10 sales. However on further inspection I would actually pay more in Ebay fees if I signed up to it.

Currently I pay 10.9% plus 30p per sale, whereas for their "Promotion" I would pay 15% plus 5p.

This means I would actually paying more in Ebay fees for all orders between £6.09 and £9.99, which is the majority of my sub-£10 orders!

the offer works for people who sell very low value items

It is specifically an offer for people making lots of sub-£10 sales, yet doesn't save me anything unless a sale is actually sub-£6.09. Many will lose more from their £6.09 - £9.99 sales than they will gain from their sub-£6.09 sales. Ebay should match Amazon Seller where there is a flat rate 10% fee for sub-£10 sales.
