When I sell on an EBAY promotion using managed payments the full, normal fee is taken within 2/3 days.It can then take up to 60 days for the fee credit of the promotion to reach my account. After my account has been credited I then have to contact EBAY(last week, when I looked. waiting time to contact "customer service" was from 57 minutes to 187 minutes) after asking for the refund Ebay claim it can take another 30 days for the refund to reach my account..........therefore in total I could have to wait 90 days !!!!!!!!!!! WHY do we put up with such abysmal service ??? and why do trading standards allow them to get away with this sharpe practice ?
"why do trading standards allow them to get away with this sharpe practice ?"
Because ebay are unregulated and can make up their own rules as they go along.
Have you tried complaining to Trading Standards?
It can up to 30 days to show on your credit card statement, because it's dependent on your billing cycle. This is the banking industry norm, and has nothing at all to do with Ebay. So there is no 'sharp practice'.
I hope that clarifies things for you, so you can take a deep breath and relax. Your adrenal glands and immune system will thank you for it. 🙂
By the way, Trading Standards are there to deal with traders (sellers like you). Ebay doesn't sell anything, ie. is not a trader.
