I sold my item on 11 august. The buyer paid via paypal and collected the item in person. My payment was on hold saying it will be available on 1 september. Today is 4th already. it says that my money is been released and i will see it in next 24 hours but i see that info since 1 st and again today is 4th so since when 24 hours last 4 days? Thats already 96 hours and not 24. Where is my money and how long again i need to wait for my money? How dare you people to keep my money. Please release it right now. I sold my item for a reason so again how dare you people to keep this long? Especially it is also not for free as i have to pay to ebay as well.
There is no-one from Ebay here. These are the Community boards, where ebayers help one another out. It states this at the top of the main Answer Centre page you entered at. To talk to Ebay, you have to use Help & Contact (link at top and foot of any page), and choose Live Chat or Request-a-callback.
But while you're here, note that collection items should only ever be paid for in cash (or by bank transfer), once the buyer has fully examined the item and is happy with it. PayPal is not safe for sellers of collection items (no proof of posting receipt, obviously, the only thing a payment processor will accept for an Unauthorised Account Use claim). Unfortunately, there is no way to prevent a buyer from paying with PayPal on Ebay, so my advice is to list your collection items on Gumtree, Ebay's sister site, where there is no PayPal option (and therefore no 21-day payment hold). 🙂
Hang on with the "how dare you" this is a Community Board we are just other Buyers and Sellers on here. You can Ring PayPal. Ask for Cash On Collection next time. No Hold, No PayPal Fee, Buyers cannot open an EBay Returns Case
