Thank you in advance to anyone can help me navigate the seller hub on ebay.
I am a private seller who has been steadily increasing sales and listings since I lost my job 18 months ago.
I now have 1800 listings generating approx £4000 per month of sales and am selling about 250-300 items per month mainly books.
I am interested in upgrading to a shop. My questions are -
a) Is it worth paying a monthly sub as all my listings are free anyway. Is a shop cheaper on the final valuation fee paid to ebay ?
b) Can I put a message across all my listings to say "Seller Away" as I haven't had a long holiday since opening.
c) Can I bulk add discount to all my listings such as 5% discount to buy 2, 10% discount to buy 3 etc.
d) Do I need to have a company and or web site set up to open an ebay shop ?
d) What are the main benefits for those that have upgraded and done the same ?
Thank you - Adrian
first things first,
if you are buying to sell you need to upgrade to a business account, this is completely separate to subscribing to a shop
a) if you are buying to sell you shouldn't be getting free listings as these are for private sellers selling their own unwanted personal possessions,
registered business sellers are charged to list and it is cheaper to subscribe to a shop for the number of listings you have
b) anyone can use the seller away option, you don't have to have a shop subscription or be registered as a business
c) if you register as a business you can run promotions
d) subscribing to a shop doesn't provide many benefits
